Meet Julia Clarke PE
Associate | Geotechnical Department Leader, Raba Kistner, Inc.
The ASCE Texas Section Board of Direction members were asked to fill out a questionnaire so that the Section’s members might get to know them a little better on a personal level. These are VP of Education, Julia Clarke’s answers.
When did you first get involved with ASCE at any level (student chapter, local branch, section)?
In 2003, I became an ASCE student member at the University of South Florida. My classmate asked me to volunteer on the practice squad for the Steel Bridge Team as the timekeeper.
What is your favorite thing about ASCE?
ASCE has provided me the opportunity to be my authentic self as a volunteer leader. I don’t have to “fit in” to a mold. I can voice my thoughts on how the organization can improve and evolve to serve future generations.
What’s your most memorable project?
My most memorable project was the Frostwood Elementary School project. It was the first project I completed as a licensed professional engineer.
What are some of your long-term career goals? What about ASCE goals?
Someday, I hope to become a Principal Leader at Raba Kistner. I hope to continue my ASCE leadership journey on the Board of Directions for the Texas Section and Region 6.
What is your go-to calculator?
I love my TI-36X Pro
What is your favorite holiday?
Easter is my favorite holiday because of my Christian faith
