Join the ASCE Houston EWRI Chapter for their upcoming Volunteer Event with Buffalo Bayou Partnership on July 13. Come in weather-appropriate clothing as well as close-toed shoes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty.  BBP surveys the park, and make the determination of our project a day or two prior to the event.  A detailed email with parking and meeting locations for the project site, along with more details on the project will be provided prior to the event.  

Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) host numerous groups and individuals each week who perform a variety of tasks such as weeding, removing invasive plants and vines, spreading mulch, and trail and trail light clean-up and trash pick-up. Some of the tasks BBP tackle after a rain event are shoveling and removing silt from the trails, clean up around trees (silt removal), removing trash/debris off of trees, cleaning trash/recycle containers. Volunteer assignments are determined by park management each week based on priority and needs of the park. This is to ensure that every volunteer who leaves the park can do so knowing that they truly contributed to Buffalo Bayou!
